REVIEWING: The Body Shop's Strawberry Body Butter

The Body Shop has many good things going for it; fair trade, no animal testing and high quality products. Among all these good things is The Body Shop's wide range of delicious body butters.

Now, I'm a sucker for anything that smells so good that it you want to eat it. These body butters smell too good and can literally leave you mouth watering. And the formula is smoooooth. It goes on like a charm and leaves your skin baby-soft with all its nourishing goodness.

'Strawberry' is a very sweet smelling concoction. Being a major sweet tooth I can't help but like it. The aroma is quite overpowering once you initially use some product, but it quickly dissipates for a subtle fragrance that lingers (but has no where near the staying power of perfume).

It's not the most expensive body butter/moisturiser out there, but it is certainly not the cheapest. Despite this, the quality of the body butter is amazing and doubles as a near perfect hand cream. The 50ml size (1.69 oz, 48 g) is pretty much made to fit into you hand bag. And I haven't had any experience with leaks; the top is a screw cap which means there is less chance of the lid coming off and making a mess in your bag!

A set would make a brilliant gift, or even one by itself for something smaller. And it would last for aages. A little goes a long way, especially if you are using it as a hand cream. If you do use too much at once (say, on your hands) it takes a little while to soak in, but by no means will you be there after 10 minutes still feeling like you have dipped your hands in oil.
The verdict? The Body Shop's Body Butter range smells delicious and is as smooth as a criminal. I would definitely recommend this product for on the go moisture in you handbag, or when on holidays and you need a compact shape, quality lasting product with the confidence that it should not leak.
